Public speaking by Tarttelor( A125211)

Last Friday ( 15 May – 17 May) my friends and I were going to the Cherating Holiday Villa, Pahang for ‘Kursus Induksi’. One of the slot is public speaking. We have to prepare in 15 minutes with the topic given and present it in 3 minutes. Uhu!

I got a topic about Reality Shows. Oh well.. It’s gonna be simple, I thought because reality shows is the common phenomena in Malaysia. I started wrote my points in a pieces of paper while I think for myself and put my thinking cap on about the topic. Unfortunately, I’m not come out with the relevant points. Maybe this topic is too general. Tik tok tik tok time is running dear…I monolog by myself. So I asked for a help from one of the Felo about his opinions with this topic. He asked me to go more specifics such as the concept, the advantages or disadvantages and ‘ting!’. I got an ideas. ( sound effect when u get an ideas).

“Ok. Time out!” the Mc said. Gulp! I’m not finish yet.
“We will continue our public speaking after tea time break” the Mc continues. Thank God, I have more time to prepare well.

After tea time break (15 minutes later) ….

“Let continue our slot now before that I want to ask Felos to pick one number from 18 until 40” Mc begin the slot.
“18” one of them said.
“The first speaker would be Rasyiqah” All people in the meeting room clap their hand.

Uhu...Calm down and relax dear. You can do it! I try to motivate myself. I stand in the front of people and started to talk my speech in a meantime I was very nervous.I moved my body right and left during the speech. Suddenly, my mind become blur I stop talked and try memories back what I have wrote. Time is running again. So I tried to think on my feet for new points. The problem is I don’t know how to translate in English because the ideas running in my head is in BM. After a few seconds I tried to talk and finished my speech as well as I can. I sat back on my place after that.I'm not satisfied what I have done but I hepi because I fight my fear to talk in front of people.

What I have learn is :-
1) Do not memories your speech.
2) Be honest- if u don’t know said it and u can stop your speech.
3) Eye contact
4) Body language- Do not move a lot.
5) Must read a lot- Idea and English words will be easier to u.

Maybe this tips can improve ourselves for next public speaking.
GO GO and All the best.
p/s- the bold words is an idioms.

just want to disturb...hoho-...A123498

Salam...hello there..
i've no idea how to write a blog..huhu
can somebody teach me how to use this blog..hahaha..(just joking..=p)
ok..i think i want to share my fav band 2 you all..hihi..
do you know who is bittersweet?i think all of you know who they are..i guess..
ok i will tell you something bout them and enjoy it dude...

Bittersweet began in mid-2004 with 2 members who had the same musical interests..hihi
Both heavily influenced by British music, the two decided to put their heads together and record an EP, just for fun.

After the recording was completed Herri and Zabil distributed the material for feedback, which was mainly positive. When Zabil joined the Malaysian teaching force he had to quit the band, which left Bittersweet with only one of its founding members. Determined not to abandon what they started, Herri set about forming a complete line-up. He enlisted Dinie as their bassist first of all, before adding Hafiez (guitarist) to the line-up, Pijie as Bittersweet's vocalist with Emai on keyboards. Bittersweet finished recording their 2nd EP (Night and Morning Tales) on November 2004. Bittersweet finished recorded their 1st single (A Perfect Match) on June 2006.

Bittersweet sounds like most indie and brit-pop band but "Capital E" is well-blended with dangdut.this is my favourite song..its sounds good to me..
its awsome.. The other songs are typical indie.

The lyrics are something special. This is where they shines. Their songs have meanings. No complain...=p

Bittersweet is simply magnificent. I rated them as one of the best indie band in Malaysia right now. There's nothing I dislike about this band, it's a bit different and it's a bit the same but you can't help sing along, a lot of the songs have an anthem like quality about them. "Capital E", "A Perfect Match" and "It's Monday" are all great.love you bittersweet..hoho

if you never heard about this band..just listen to the radio..or download it for your own..hihi..maybe someday, its will be your favourite band too..
k i've nothing to say..adios amigos

Influenzavirus A is a genus of the Orthomyxoviridae family of viruses. Influenzavirus A includes only one species: Influenza A virus which causes influenza in birds and some mammals. Strains of all subtypes of influenza A virus have been isolated from wild birds, although disease is uncommon. Some isolates of influenza A virus cause severe disease both in domestic poultry and, rarely, in humans.[1] Occasionally viruses are transmitted from wild aquatic birds to domestic poultry and this may cause an outbreak or give rise to human influenza pandemics.[2] [3]

Influenza A viruses are negative sense, single-stranded, segmented RNA viruses. There are several subtypes, labeled according to an H number (for the type of hemagglutinin) and an N number (for the type of neuraminidase). There are 16 different H antigens (H1 to H16) and nine different N antigens (N1 to N9). The newest H type (H16) was isolated from black-headed gulls caught in Sweden and the Netherlands in 1999 and reported in the literature in 2005. [4]

Each virus subtype has mutated into a variety of strains with differing pathogenic profiles; some pathogenic to one species but not others, some pathogenic to multiple species.

When I Met With HIV/AIDS Patients
Wah the title so straight forward can? Hehe
Anyway, I've been wanting to talk about this particular post. CSSUKM group (Christian students) collaborated with the youths in Kajang's church to do a home visit to this home called Welcome Community Home.
It is a place for HIV/AIDS patients who, sadly, are rejected by their own families or who cannot support their own medication supplies.

I almost didn't go for the visit.
Gladly, I went and I didn't regret going AT ALL.

Situated in Batu Arang, it was an hour drive from Kajang.
But eventually, some of us got lost and that made it almost 2 hours and we didn't get to do the ice-breaking game :(
At last, we arrived. Hee
Upon arrival, we saw a patient practising to walk with a helping device. I can't describe my feeling at that moment. I was numb? ………

Welcome Community Home's building belonged to the British Colony when they invaded the Malaya. They used it as an office for their own administration.
It was then seized by the Japanese when they conquered the land. I am not sure what it was used for but I know that there is a remaining of a guillotine somewhere behind the building so you imagine la how many people had died near the place where we were standing at that time listening to the explanation from the manager of the home.

We didn't get to see it because that was not our main purpose of the visit :)

And soon after, it was given back to the British and they didn't know what else to do with it and decided to give it to a group of Catholic Sisters.

Long story cut short, it ended up as a home for HIV/AIDS patients.

Imagine people saying, "Welcome to Welcome!"

The place caters for 45 patients at a time and there are 33 patients staying there at the moment.
Eventhough it was the Catholics who rebuilt the home and all, they accept everyone regardless of what religion they are.

Can you imagine them eating 15 pills every time?

From the outside, the patients look like normal people. But inside, only God knows their sufferings and pains from the disease.

AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.
The definition obviously tells that those who suffer from the disease have less or no immune system at all in the body due to the attacks of the HIV viruses.

In a human's body, there is a type of white blood cell called the CD4 cells. It is sometimes called the T-cells. These cells are the ones that lead the attack against infections.

The normal CD4 counts in a normal person are usually between 500 and 1600 (cells/mm3 of blood). Those infected with HIV virus, the CD4 counts dramatically decrease which leave them with 10 and below; in some cases down to zero.

So, even a minor pneumonia can lead them to death. It is a sad fact. :(
At that moment, I felt angry and helpless at the same time thinking that life is so unfair for some people.

The visit was definitely an eye-opener to me.
It made me realize that life is too precious to mess up with and those we need to appreciate it fully wherever and whoever we are.

And for once, I felt that I broke this barrier in my head telling that I can't go near HIV/AIDS patients when I shook all of their hands(no one excluded) before we left the place.
Don't worry, physical touch is always okay unless you or the patient have an open wound.
I THOROUGHLY checked my hands before k :)

Lastly, here are words of encouragement I found on one of the walls which I think is very deep and meaningful,

"Life doesn't stop until you take the last breath. Don't give up, don't lose hope and stay strong. Remember that you are not alone"

PhoBIa..........

what is phobia????

phobia is a fancy name for a fear....

My first experience of interview by A120090

There were a few different slots for the interview.
9am, 9.30am, 11am and 12pm.
That was when I checked it for the first time.
After talking to some people, asking all around for the direction to Damansara Heights (the place for the interview), I've decided to just go for the face-to-face interview because I thought that I can do my dentist appointment in the morning and proceed on with the interview at 12pm.

2 or 3 hours after considering my choice, I re-opened the page to book my slot.
And I bet you'll like this more, the 12pm slot was already FULL.
Nice.
This was Wednesday.

That was when I've decided to just do a phone interview at 9.30am and cancelled my so-hard-to-get appointment. :(

Now, my preparation for the interview :

1. I dozed off Wednesday night thinking that I could just sleep/rest for one hour and might continue reading the company's website after that. I set my alarm at 12am and I woke up at 6am in the morning. Obviously, I cant.

2. But lucky me, I am an early bird. Well, only during certain situation like this one. There was no problem waking up at 6 this time. Yala, masa panic where got time to sleep so nice one.

3. Did a last minute reading on the information that I haven't went through. Got everything readied like my resume for references, paper and pen to jot down any notes, my questions to the interviewer and questions that they might ask, etc.

4. Took a bath and cleared off my table to create that sort of in a real interview environment. Got into my formal attire together with my Nose pointed pumps.

5. I pinned something on the board, that I thought can help maybe a little bit during the interview process.
THIS!

Don't laugh.
The reason why I put a smiley face as the interviewer was because I want to put the friendly-always-smiling version of an interviewer into my head. That put my heart at ease. A little.

And the sun. That famous bright shiny kindergarten-style sun. I drew it because sunny days remind us of happy days where we can go out and play. Well, at least that's it in general. For me, sunny days are not happy at all. It's freaking hot nowadays people, thanks to global warming, thanks to us for causing it; freaking hot that it burns my skin and make me sweat. Eeww. It's okay if it is not too sunny nor too cloudy. That will be a perfect day for me to go out.

Oh that little animal at the corner there, is a dog. Not just some random dog. It's my baby, Mowgob. If you watch carefully, you can see it's black collar at the neck. Well, it's blue because I used blue marker la. I put it there to remind me of my happy days. I'm always happy with her except for this one particular day when she bit Tippy's(Olly's baby) ear. What, she thinks she's Mike Tyson now ah?

Wei, don't laugh I said.
Lame. I know.
hehehe...

Wandering Alone ...by A120090

Wandering Alone

Sometimes I like to go to certain places alone.
Most times, I wander alone in Midvalley.
I guess I like shopping/window shopping alone because I am free to do what I want to do without anyone 'controlling' me.

But every pro has its con. Besides, I’m from Sarawak and very unfamiliar with this new place.
Shopping alone makes me instantly buy the things in front of my eyes without thinking twice and that really burns my pockets out. :D
Despite that, I still prefer to shop alone.
So there was this day, somewhere around last week, it was my first time going ALONE to Bukit Bintang. I still felt a little bit insecure after my phone loss.

Nevertheless, I still went alone to Pavillion for an appointment with Mayfair.
I got a few vouchers to try their services ranging from facial care to body slimming.

Being a food addict (which explains I never lose weight), I decided to try out theobroma Chocolate Lounge, Pavillion before going for the 3.30pm appointment.
The Chocolate Lounge is originated from Australia. The feedback from customers were very good so it expands the business in New Zealand and Malaysia too.

the worst day in my life....

...i have a bad story today..
yesterday, i went to uia alone..meet my fren there and i enjoys myself with her because she was my besfren at school.huhu, n.,something bad happened to me when i going back to ukm today (17th may)..

when i arrived at KL Sentral, i quickly buy the ktm ticket and go downstair waiting for the ktm to seremban arrive. There were many people already. 15 minutes after that, the operator announce that all the destination to seremban, the journey was corrupted. i really dont know what to do then because it was 7pm already..n finally i called my friend at petaling jaya and ask for her helps ..then he offered to take me there.
we arrived at ukm about 8.15pm.Alhamdulillah...because there's nothing bad happen.

perfume generics

If you go to any Reject Shop they will surely have this counter of perfume generics somewhere near their cashier counters.
From the picture, it looks like a normal stacks of perfumes.

But when you look closer at the names of the perfumes, I guess you'll have the shock of your life. (hyperbola je lebih)
We first realized this when we were at a Reject Shop in MetroKajang, Kajang.
I didn't bring my camera that time.
This time I didn't want to miss my chance. :D

i'm very2 love my mother..
she is a best woman in my life..
but i always hurt her..
i'm not listen what she wants..
i'm still 'Degil'..hehehehehehe
but we must remember that..
mother's are everythings..
without them, maybe we can't see the world..
i promise..i want to be a good child..
i dont want to hurt my mother anymore..
i want to make her smile always..
i promise..i miss her so much...
so my friends realised that..
your Mother lives inside your laughter..
and she is crystallized in every tear drop..
a mother shows every emotion such as happiness,sadness..
fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy and sorrow..
and all the while, she hoping and praying you will only know..
the good feelings in life..
she is the place you came from..
your first home, and she is the map that you follow with every step you take..
she is also your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you....
Not time, not space, not even death..
it's still your mother..

Our mother is always in our heart.......

Ghost whisperer by A120090

The first time I heard someone died yesterday night.
Even though there will be people dying here everyday, yesterday somehow seemed different.

It made me think.
The person died due to a road traffic accident.
I'm guessing it had just happened.
And yesterday it was raining outside.

While sitting on that grey-coloured chair at the corner in the lab, a lot of things came across my mind like how did the person die? What happened to him? Was he alone? You know. All sort of stuffs.

One of my friend said it out aloud that "the person had just died" like it was just another daily conversation. I guess we are so used to it that it sounded like a normal 'weather forecast' to me.

Talk about the weather. Yesterday night it rained. It was like an answered prayer. I was very glad. But then again, when I came to think about that person who just died, the rainy day seemed to not be a blessing anymore. The person might be dead because of the rain. Because of the rain, the road became slippery and dangerous. And because of the slippery road, the person somehow might skidded. And because of that, he might be fighting for his life but he lost.

One thing that hit me was that he might have a FAMILY waiting for him at home; taking it for granted that they will see him at the end of the day and will have another day to spend it with him.

This reminded me that life is definitely unpredictable. It is full of surprises. We cannot change the fact that we are going to die someday but we CAN change our attitude towards our loved ones.

I am not hoping for anything, but someday we might be the person I mentioned above or his family. Don't wait for this to happen to regret not telling your loved ones that you love them. A simple 'I love you' won't hurt right? :)

p/s : I would like EACH AND EVERYONE of you to know that I appreciate you for being a part of my life. Be it small or big. I am saying this before I regret not saying it when I don't have the time anymore to say it. :)
